The teachings of the grace of God

“11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zeals of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
Titus 2:11-15

These verses from the book of Titus are sound and true, and it is also true that we should all have a good and sound doctrine in our walk with the Lord. I say it is most important that we should all be sound in doctrine, because unsound doctrine that we would live by is poison to our souls. Unsound doctrine gives you faith that is false and not of the Spirit. This dishonors God, our souls, and leads to a mind that will start to believe in Satan’s lies!

The sounder I am in the doctrine of God and the more I preach the doctrine of God to others the closer I am to Him and my salvation. The more I turn from good doctrine the more I bring my self into reproach from God and find a more worldly carnal life and my eternal death. The grace of God and God’s salvation can only come to those whom God knows to be true believers in Jesus Christ. So sound doctrine is the way of receiving the Grace of God, and we are told the Grace of God brings salvation.

“15 But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.”
Romans 5:15

“ 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Romans 12:3

“ 12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.”
2 Corinthians 1:12

Now we see that the Grace of God is so very vital to us and our salvation, I have a question for you.

The big question is: How do I know by the Grace of God I’m saved? This is a vitally important question for anyone who hopes for their salvation. Let us look at ourselves closely before answering the question of salvation and see what God sees within our souls.

Many profess to be saved, the test we can see with our own eyes is this, do you really value the eternal interest of your soul? Do you treat lightly or take for granted your salvation? Therefor many profess to be saved but give no evidence of it in their lives! To those of us that are saved and know it, here’s why. We live our lives denying ungodliness and worldly lust in our lives. We choose to deny evil from entering into our lives, as the Holy Spirit shows us. Talk is cheap (God knows). I witness people all the time claiming the blood of Christ covering them, but see the condition of their souls and the Holy Spirit they ignore as they live out their sinful lives.

Divine grace teaches its favored recipients subjectively as well as objectively, effectually as well as theoretically. This boils down to mean grace in the heart prevents us from abusing grace in the head. This prevents us from making grace the lackey of our sins. Where the grace of God brings salvation to the soul, it works effectually. And what is it that grace teaches us? Grace does not eradicate ungodliness and worldly lust. No, it causes us to deny them! And what but God’s Divine Grace can?

I can testify to you philosophy cannot save us, ethics cannot, culture cannot, man’s laws cannot, education cannot; God’s Divine Grace can and does! But the true saved born again Christians know and give gratitude and loving devotion to our Lord, and our earnest desire is to please our Savior, and worship Him day and night. We have an instilled determination to “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,”
Ephesians 4:1

True born again Christians see by faith not with eyes made for seeing the world. Seeing with true faith will never deceive you. Faith always rests alone upon God and His Word. Faith is never influenced by things of this world. If you walk with true faith Satan cannot do harm to you spiritually.

I hope these words on glory and grace help those who need it, and inspire those who walk with God. Bless all, for God loves us all, sinners and saints! Come to Jesus now He is waiting for You!

All glory to God
