In the Bible it tells us of “this Man”. The Bible is talking about Christ and all He did. Let’s look at what the Bible has to say about “ this Man!”
1 His Conversation from (John 7:46) “The officers answered, Never man spake like this Man”.
2 His Compassion from (Luke 15:2) “And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This Man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.”
3 His Conduct from (Luke 23:41) “And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this Man hath done nothing amiss.”
4 His Career from (John 11:47) “Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? For this Man doeth many miracles.”
5 His Comprehension from (John 7:15) “And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this Man letters, having never learned?”
6 His Claims from (John 6:52) “ The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this Man give us his flesh to eat?”
7 His Conquest from (Hebrews 10:12) “But this Man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;”
There is no question Christianity is Christ! We as Christians cannot be too much occupied with Him.
A great deal of my writing talks about Jesus Christ and His works. I do this for a reason. I have found reading articles written on Christianity that I see some moving away from Christ to emphasizing more on the Holy Spirit. Don’t get me wrong; the Holy Spirit is doing vital work for God, as part of the Holy Trinity. Working within the background, within our hearts, the Holy Spirit is always working to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives.
Any religious movement that emphasizes the Holy Spirit out of proportion and is more occupied with The Holy Spirit rather than the Lord Jesus Christ is suspect. Christ-centered preaching is the way our Lord wants us to worship Him.
