“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”
(1 John 4:7-11)
If you need proof of God’s love, here you can see His love clearly when He sent His Son to die on the cross for all of us.
“That we might live through him” shows us the purpose and design of atonement. It also shows us the fact that life does not come by knowledge, but rather through the atonement of Jesus Christ alone!
“The love of God toward us” makes us obligated to love one another, for this is the only way we can show that we really have love. Claiming to love God is meaningless without showing love to each other.
Let’s remember this lesson from the Bible and try to show others love, after what happened today in Washington, it seems we all can really use some love in the world today. Thank God it wasn’t any worse.
All glory to God
