Servants of Righteousness

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(Romans 6:21-23)

In Romans v.21-22 Paul is talking about the very important question to those who dare to practice sin. Paul knew that sin always promises more that it can deliver. None of sins fruits are worth having, because you end up being a slave to sin. It is a very horrible death spiritually. But for those who are freed from the bondage of habitual sin and who are true servants of God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Bondage to sin has shame and ultimately spiritually death as its by-product. Bondage to Christ has being saved for eternity as its by-product.

In Romans v.23 Paul shows us that the outcome of enslavement to sin is the opposite of being obedient to Christ. Payment to the heirs of sin is spiritual death. Sin always pays a wage, and that wage is a terrible one. The price of eternal life is free for the asking.
